Wow. Adding more layers is conventional enough (DVDs already have two layers on each side), but that "angled" business is truly bizarre. I'm not sure I quite understood what they were saying.

from what I can gather, the other "dimension" is using Color rather that the plain old Mono Pit or no Pit burned into the substrate, it gives a Color value instead of the traditional Binary.
