My task is to design an experiment to answer the question: How does the force of attraction between 2 bar magnets depend on the separation of the bar magnets.

 

I need to write a method beforehand as we are getting marked on how we conduct the experiment but I'm really confused.

 

I tried looking up the experiment but cant find the method I would need when using these materials.

 

  • Stand and Clamp
  • Newton meter
  • Bar magnet (x2)
  • Blu-tack
  • Masking tape
  • Ruler

 

Does anyone know the best possible method for this experiment while using these materials?
