4ORCE Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 In which one of the following situations would you expect hemoglobin to have the lowest binding affinity for oxygen? a. in your thigh muscle after you have been running for a minute b. just below the surface of the skin on a cold day c. in the pulmonary vein d. in the kidney e. in the lung I want to say A but I'm not sure. Wikipedia has some useful information regarding the affinity of O2 to hemoglobin: I think you'll find the answer there if you consider it carefully.
