Bod

Please help, We have done the easier questions but are stuck on this question and dont know where to start.

A stream with a discharge of 12m3/s, a temperature of 12°C and a 5 Day Biochemical

Oxygen Demand (BOD5) of 4mg/litre receives effluent with a discharge of 1m3/s, at a

temperature of 24°C and with a BOD5 of 75mg/litre Estimate BOD5 of the stream water after

complete mixing. Estimate the Ultimate BOD ( L0 ) of the mixed stream water given that the

biochemical degradation coefficient k1 is 0.18, BOD remove rate kr is 0.18 and reaeration

coefficient k2 is 0.25 at 20 °C. Determine the DO concentration at the sag point and the

distance from the effluent discharge point

Any help would be appreciated
