Explain how cell respiration along with proteins allows metabolic work to happen. Explain how metabolic poisons affect this system. Can anyone help me answer this question, please????? I need it answered by tonight!!!

The simple answer is that chemical energy is transferred to molecules which can be utilised by the proteins involved in metabolism, i.e. ATP, NADH and FADH. Poisons inhibit specific proteins in this process.
