Can some one help me out by giving me a balanced equation for the Nitration of Methyl Benzoate???

Methyl benzoate is already an ester, I`m not sure it Can be nitrated.

we Know benzene can be nitrated, but here, I`ll tell you what, Why don`t you give us the Unbalanced equation, and then we`ll work on Balancing it ;)

 

can`t say fairer than that!

That's the overall reaction. Now to balance it you only have to use common chemistry balancing knowledge :)
