How are napthalene balls made? What is it made of?

I`m not 100% sure how they are made, I know the blocks are simply cast as napthalene has a low melting point (about 80c), as for the balls I think they are made in a rotating drum, and as they tumble a spray of molten napthalene is deposited on their surface and gradualy builds them up in size.

 

as for what they`re made of well, Napthalene :)

seriously, that`s the proper name of the chemical, it`s 2 fused benzene rings.

thanks for your reply. i was actually thinking of making scented balls, using the method used in making napthalene balls. i guess it doesn't apply. thanks again!
