Sup guys. I'm a newbie here. I am running a sordaria lab for my AP bio class. What I am basically doing is testing different environmental stress factors on the sordaria to see if it will increase the crossover rate.

 

However, I recently subcultured one plate and noticed the Sordaria aren't spreading out. I have a feeling that the plate has been contaminated, but I am not sure. Any tips on how to make a more successful transfer and keep grow the sordaria?
