bootcamp expiration question

Featured Replies

I wouldn't call this a comp.sci question, but perhaps someone knows this?

I don't usually use macs but I've got a mac for testing mac applications and installed the bootcamp to get dual boot for windows. The choice of bootcamp was that it seemed to be the quickest soultion at the time although it was a beta software. Now it is claimed that the beta license is expire at the end of the year.

Does anyone know if the bootloader itself will actually stop to function, so that it won't be possible to boot the PC or switch between partitions? or is it just the reconfiguration via the bootcamp application that will no longer work? Ie given that no changes need to be made in the dual boot setup, would it be safe to keep the existing setup after expiration, or should I expect a surprise on 1 jan 2008?

Anyone know?
