What are criteria tha are usually used to judge whether a preparation method is good, besides yield and purity of the products?

 

For instance,benzoic acid form hydrolysis of benzamide..etc..organic preparation.

can you be a little more Speciffic please, I (and probably others) have little idea where you`re heading with this?

1 Cheap available starting materials

2 Yield

3 Purity

4 Non toxic, non explosive starting materials

5 Safe chemical procedures

6 Short procedures ie few steps

7 Scalability

8 Easy workup procedures

7 Little waste that is easy to dispose off
