External Calibration

Featured Replies

What is external calibration? How can it be compared with standard addition?

This seems like the sort of thing that should be in the homework section.

But oh well, external calibration and standard addition (a type of internal calibration) are both ways of calibrating an instrument against known concentrations of a substance to measure an unknown concentration of the substance in a sample. External calibration is where you do the calibration seperately, internal calibration is where you chuck the known in with the sample.
