Hello everybody,

 

I cannot find the reaction mechanism for this synthesis. It is for a report (:$), and they want to see a reaction mechanism and reaction equations. It doesn't have to be stochiometric correct i.m.o., but the basic route should be correct.

 

I am a university chemist student, but I don't know how to solve this one...

 

Can someone help me solve this one?

Ouch, not sure about that one (im a uni student too). The only thing i can think of is it goes via a tri-substituted intermediate or something. The ring is electron rich
