Ironic Table-Turning in French Politics

Featured Replies

Amusing quote from an article about the weekend's political happenings in France:

In a number of polls before Sunday's election, 60 percent of those responding said they were opposed to the tax increase. The Socialists mocked Sarkozy, saying his call for the French to "work more to earn more" was in reality a plan to "work more to pay more."

Bwahahaha....

Not even the French understand French politics...

BTW, I saw a great movie over the weekend that's marketed in the US as "Days of Glory", and as "Indigenes" in Europe. Check it out if you get a chance. A very smart, frank look at patriotic enlistment and combat by French African Muslims during the second world war. Kind of a cross between "Saving Private Ryan" and "Glory".
