What makes them different? Well, for one, both have clearly broken from mainstream partisan politics. They're willing to call BS where they see it.

 

They have very different politics, but both appeal to be greatly. I guess Mike Gravel appeals to my liberal side and Ron Paul appeals to my libertarian side.

 

Personally I think there would be no better presidential race this election than Mike Gravel vs. Ron Paul, but of course that will never happen.
