Hi,

 

Does anyone know of a good composition that will generate copious amounts of smoke, and doesn't have much if a flame. It will be ignited in a sealed container with a hole from which the smoke should exit. (Will the confinement cause the mix to explode rather than deflagrate?)

KNO3 paper with a sprinkle of ammonium chloride on it and rolled up very tightly will do it.
