3 Questions on Water Potential

Featured Replies

All I know about this is that water potential goes from 0 (pure water) down to -something (impure water)

1. Can water potential be of a positive integer, if so, how come?

2.What is the lowest possible integer for wter potential, -100?

3.If question 1 is yes. What is the highest it can be

the question makes no sense dude?

if I get a bucket of dry dirt and add a drop of water that would be as crappy as the water could get :)

and if it`s pure water H2O without impurities of any sort and that`s classed as a potential of 0 Zero, then it can never be any more pure :)

so the answers NO :)

YT, were you drunk when posting that?

Talk about useless answers :P

And useless posts like this one! ;)

no just extremely tired, but the logic stands that if 0 is purest and anything below that is impure, it can never be a positive integer.

the only other scale I`m aware of for measuring impurities on a 0 to 14 scale is PH as used in agriculture, but that`s clearly not what he meant as it doesn`t use negative integers :)
