I regret to say that I am not well informed about certification in astrophysics.

 

Perhaps some of the other people here at scienceforums.net

can give you some helpful advice.

 

One thing you might do, simply to get some more information about this, is to write to ASTROPHYSICIST BLOGGERS.

 

these are mostly talkative young scientists, often they are graduate students or postdocs----one or more of them might give you guidance.

 

I will get some links to BLOGS maintained by active researchers in astrophysics
