Hey all,

 

would be a massive help if anyone could shed any light on the following question? i am trying to revise for my finals but cant seem to put my finger on the answer to this:

 

Describe 3 ways in which x rays and gamma rays interact with matter - and what determines the minimum photon energy required for process?

"the minimum photon energy required for process?" i think this is the work function? (someone please correct me if i am wrong)...
