Researchers find protein that silences genes

Featured Replies

A team of researchers at Washington University in St. Louis has found a protein that has been found to play a major part in the deactivation of genes. We understand how these are disabled but the question of how the genes to be disabled are chosen is unknown.

If we can ever find the choice mechanism could we then harness this to disable faulty genes in people? Only time will tell but it looks promising.
