Gas + Solid = ?

Featured Replies

How do I know if a gas plus a gas = solid or gas? Or gas plus solid = gas or solid and so on...?

well it really all depends on What Gasses and What solids, there is no specific formula for this (that I`m aware of anyway).

and it Also depends on what you mean by "Plus"?

is it a Mixture or a Compound after a reaction?

AND Then you also have to factor in Conditions such as temp and Pressure, all this needs to be taken into account.

edited to add: there are instances where 2 solids can form a liquid, or 2 gasses can form a liquid etc....

I could carry on forever, and these are just at standard room temp and pressure :)
