(Specifically I'm interested in how they are constructed, what they are made of, what the chemical properties of the stuff they are made of are and so on....). Also what happens if you heat these tires up? Do they melt at a specific temperature? Is there any similar kinds of materials that melt at a higher temperature - and if so what are they? GJ[/quote'] The common properties are tough, flexible and quite heat resistant. Because rubber is actually a mixture things and its composition varies and so its melting point also does, as do its other properties.
