In pyrotechnics Chlorine donors are often used to enhance certain colors (blues in copper for example). powdered PVC is used. I`de like to know it Fluorine would make them brighter/more vivid?

 

and could PTFE, PolyTetraFuoroEthylene (teflon) could be converted for the same purpose?

Is the flourine expected to make a compound if so which chemical do u wish to add is it the CuCl or another substance and fl can change colours e.g. yellow green and purple.

consider Halogens as Color enhancers, specificly Chlorine.

I may have a KClO4 or KClO3 oxidiser, it also contains a Cl atom, but that`s used to cancel the K after deflagration, excess Chlorine is often added as a reducing agent to be freed to then become an Oxidising agent (as in the case of PVC).

the copper salts used are arbitrary realy, it could be a carbonate or an oxide (never a Sulphate or nitrate as it reacts with Chlorates/Perchlorates)
