Science Music

Featured Replies

I was just e-mailed a link to this site. The band's name is "Science Groove." I don't know if anyone's heard of them but I hadn't before today.

With songs like "Hooray for NMR Spectroscopy!," and lyrics like:

"Acetyl CoA, citric acid, iso-,

Alpha-ketoglutaric, succinyl CoA,

Succeeded by succinic, fumaric and malic,

Then oxaloacetic starts the cycle again."

how can you resist?

They don't feel like those horrible educational songs from Middle School but more like inside jokes. All the downloads are free and some are really funny. Check it out.

That reminds me of:

With their smashit Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin!

The Drugs Song is also a good song if you know the element song (you know, that one which goes through all the known elements).

And some of those songs do contain some, err, less formal language (aka swearing), but they're funny... well, I like tracks 1, 8, 13... the other ones are not that good IMO.

Had to find/post the element song too!

Here's the site:

And right click HERE and chose 'Save As' to download the flash animation.
