Setting up thunderbird

my friend set up this domain for me, my brother, him, and another one of our close friends to use as an email address and place to post pictures and the like. im trying to get the email to work through thunderbird and its not working right.

i can recieve messages but i cant get outgoing to work. i have tried using the outgoing server provided by the site and their recommended alternative, my ISPs mail server, neither of them work. when i hit send and type in the password the prompt goes away and then comes back blank again. if i just hit enter with no pass it gives me some error about being unable to connect to the server.

i know this isnt much info to work with, but i also know that there are some pretty gee... i mean, intelligent people on this site. im sure youll be able to figure it out

the problem has been resolved. : )

id like to note that the problem was not on my end.
