I have been lately interested black holes and wanted to ask about some very hypothetical scenario. Let's say we have some kind of an extremely massive black hole (my understanding is that it enables you to cross the event horizon without being completely torn apart. Now let's say we are on some strange planet that is painted in a continuous gradient by the longitude, say red on north pole and blue on south pole and then some spectrum of colors in between. Let's now imagine it is being pulled towards the black hole with the south pole of the planet being the closest. Furthermore let's say I am on the equator with a flashlight pointing towards the ground. I'm really curious what would it actually look like:

Would I somehow start floating at some point due to some balance of forces? If not, could I run towards the south pole? If yes, what would the colors underneath my feet look like? What would happen if I cross the event horizon? Would everything go black, or would I still see some colors on the ground?

What would it look like if on the contrary I was on the south pole and tried to run north away from the black hole?

Because the planet is in free fall, it won't feel the "pull" of the black hole. Instead, the planet will experience the tidal force that tends to pull the poles apart and squeeze at the equator. If you are at the equator, you will feel this extra force towards the ground in addition to the force of gravity of the planet itself. If you are at either pole, you will feel less force than the force of gravity of the planet itself and may possibly float from the planet if the tidal force of the black hole is stronger than the force of gravity of the planet.
