nicole, lacey, alec and emilee went to the grocery store to buy some food. If each child picked up one of the foods above, how many combinations could there be, using only these foods?

 

1. Apple

2. Banana

3. Strawberry

4. carrot

5. ice cream

6. cherry

Well if 4 of them have to be picked up then there are 2 left, we now group the 4 as 1, so the choices are basically, how many combinations of 3 items can you have....? More to the point how many ways can you rearrange 3 itmes?
