The Tao Of Physics

Featured Replies

Has anyone read the book by Fritjof Capra, The tao of physics.

A book which so beautifuly lies down the parallels b/w ancient mysticism(hinduism, taoism, conf and buthism), mainly abt relativity and QM, but very very believable.

He is a Physicist. and most of the sayings and texts r from books from:

werner heisenberg

julius robert oppenheimer

niels bohr

and many more including some of eienstine too.

I'm a strong believer in the Buddhist principles of life and thought. I would love the opportunity to read this book. Although I don't know what it's all about now, I certainly am open to think that principles taught in religion that have a tadbit of "truth" in a scientific context.

I found it dull and unhelpful for deepening one's understanding of Quantum Mechanics.

A better book is Quantum Reality by Herbert, which really tries to make plain the nuts and bolts of QM.
