How to distinguish different types of bacteria?

Hello guys, can you help me with my homework? We've got topic - Photosynthesis and pentose pathway.

Here it is:

"You have 3 kinds of bacteria: one is an optional anaerobic organism and gets energy from fermentation, the other gets energy from glucose oxidation using citrate cycle and oxidative phosphorylation, and the third from photosynthesis. All three are able to consume glucose. It happened to you that these three tribes mixed up. How could you differentiate between different growth conditions which strain is which?"

We should create a table summarizing the cultivation conditions and determine which species is which. Guys, can you help ?? 😊 Thanks a lot.
