I need to run a gel for 2 hours at constant 23W until the voltage reaches 3000V. After a few trials it reaches 3000V in 50 minutes and 23W drops to 3W. Are there any limits or parameters that I can set up on the electric source in order for it to run longer? Also will it affect my gel if I keep it running after it reaches 3000V at 3-4W ? After I image the gel my bands are not fully separated.
