Reactions with Titanium (IV)

Featured Replies

Hello,

in an inorganic chemistry lab, three reactions were completed:

1) To TiOSO4 add zinc metal. The result observed is the following: A black gas is emitted from zinc, the solution experiences color changes; pink to grey to black

2) To TiOSO4 add the cupferron reagent. The result observed is the following: A bright yellow precipitate appears

3) To TiOSO4 add a solution of pyrocatechol. The result observed is the following: The solution changed to an orange-yellow solution. No precipitate observed. The solution was clear before.

I need to represent the reactions with chemical equations. Any ideas?

I did my research and didn't find anything in regards to these reactions.

Please answer me,

Thank you,
