Fungal Cell Disruption

I am trying to figure out if I can take a fungal cell with a chitin cellular wall and disrupt it with a method differnet from traditional methods.

 

Is it possible to freeze the cells (Fungus is in powder form) with liquid nitrogen, then place it inside of a blender with dry ice and shatter the cells?

 

The powder is not able to get wet so I need a way to extract the nutrients from the cell without adding chemicals. Bead beating and and Ultrasonic methods are not acceptable methods.

 

Any advice will help.
