How does cell redox status reflect brain redox status?

I will soon be assessing brain glutathione using MRS, but will take bloods for analysis of redox markers in the circulation. Although important on their own, the blood measures of oxidative stress and markers of neuroprotection that I will measure should be compared to what is going on in the brain. Basically, I need to know if the two measures are comparable, since I cannot find any evidence in the literature.
