    Lenz's law should slow down the magnet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenz%27s_law The video shows how much a magnet can be slowed down. The configuration is not the same, but the principle should be the same. His ( coils? ) do not seem to have a useful output either. One video shows ( plasma?) coming out of the center of it.
