  1. If you have spaceship A with clock A on board then the system of spaceship A and clock A will have energy level of A If you have spaceship B with clock B on board then the system of spaceship B and clock B will have energy level of B If spaceship A and spacehip B move at different speeds, then the systems will have different energy levels The energy within each system determines the nature of the clock, so if energy levels change because of different speeds, the clocks will be different Relationship between energy and mass is what is most important c2 is just a constant and the reason "time" seems to alter is because it is inserted into the formula for showing relationship between energy and mass
  2. An infinite continuum of matter, where the concept of "empty space" does not exist The Universe has infinite energy The energy fluctuations of the Universe are the cause of all interactions and motion that occur in the Universe Motion is the result of energy transferring from one location to another and not as a result of matter transferring location Motion is not matter moving through a medium with that medium being empty space Motion is energy moving as a wave through a medium with that medium being the continuum of matter This is my theory, I try to keep it brief rather than rambling into an essay and have stated the main concepts of my theory I think/hope
  3. We are stuck in a dark age The Big Bang Theory is the "scientific" version of Creationism Questioning the Big Bang amounts to heresy in the scientific community The Big Bang Theory and Expansion of the Universe Theory came from a Catholic priest, who taught at a Catholic University It is quite convenient that his scientific theories tied in nicely with the religious dogma of Creationism There is ZERO proof of either the Big Bang Theory or Expansion of the Universe Theory, just like there is ZERO proof of God Hubble did not observe galaxies moving away from each other, he observed redshift and decided that the redshift was caused by galaxies moving away from each other, which fit in nicely with Lemaitre's Expanding Universe Theory Also, with all the galaxies moving away from Earth, we can be centre of the Universe again The presence of Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation in the Universe proves the presence of Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation in the Universe, no more, no less How do you reconcile General Relativity with Quantum Mechanics? That is an infamous question and so many scientists around the world are working furiously trying to solve it, hoping they will find the "Theory of Everything" Maybe they cannot be reconciled because either a) General Relativity is wrong, b) Quantum Mechanics is wrong c) both are wrong Scientists actually use Occam's Razor when speaking about the Big Bang Theory, so why not apply it to answer the above question too But no, that answer is not acceptable in a scientific community that has been brainwashed and following religious dogma, they dare not entertain the possibilty that all their lfe's work is based on pseudoscience and science fiction, they would rather just keep scribbling away buried in equations and trapped inside the box, hoping to be the one to find the answer
  4. I can only think of two possible answers 1. YES. There is empty space and everything that exists in the Universe is surrounded by empty space/nothingness. In this empty space NOTHING exists whatsoever. No energy, no fields, no subatomic particles or sub sub sub atomic particles. ABSOLUTE ZERO ANYTHING. 2. NO. Empty Space does not exist and everything that exists in the Universe is connected. It is one huge ball of energy. These are the two possible answers according to logic, correct? Tell me if there is a third option. If option 1 was true then surrounding the Universe would be an infinite ocean of nothingness and between all the matter would be infinite empty space and nothingness. Or, "our Universe" is one of many and if you were to somehow travel far enough past the boundaries of our Universe, you would eventually reach some other region of space, that may be another Universe, could be a year old, could be a trillion years old, who knows. Or, you might just pass a few million particles that exist all on their own as part of a small gas cloud (very lonely for them). If this was true then there is a good chance that "our observable part of the Universe" is merely a tiny part of an infinite Greater Universe (Random additional thought - if our Universe was surrounded by x number of other Universes, could these Universes affect our Universe in a such a way as to cause the expansion theory that is popular at present? I heard Dark Energy was a theory behind this expansion, is it one of many theories, or the main and only theory? Maybe our Universe began this recent expansion period because the Universes surrounding us are of a similar age and so their affect on us, would not be noticeable until relatively recently?) If option 2 was true then the only logical conclusion is that the Universe is infinite. No empty space, with everything connected would mean that the microcosm and macrocosm were both infinite. This possibility is even more mind boggling than the first I think. If the Universe was connected, infinite in all directions, then this would mean that energy and matter do not move through empty space, past other forms of matter and energy, but instead, they "transfer" Eg Imagine a room filled wall to wall, ceiling to floor with tiny light bulbs. Each light bulb has an infinite number of colours. These light bulbs represent energy, they are not literally light bulbs. If all the light bulbs were blue, this means they are at x amount of energy. Then if 2 lights next to each other turned green, they represent a different form of energy. For that energy to "move" the light bulbs themselves don't move, instead the 2 lights adjacent would turn green, and the original two green lights revert back to blue. This would repeat and the light bulbs would appear to be moving if viewed from a zoomed out POV. This question fascinates me the most. I love thinking about the Universe, surely all people interested in Science do right? Personally I lean toward option 2, my main reason being is there is a repeating substructure present in the Universe I see around me, from stars and galaxies, down to cells, DNA and down further to atoms and down further again to all the weird stuff such as quarks etc Please choose which you think is true 1, 2, other? Explain reasoning I am not a physicist or mathematician, so please explain in basic terms, rather than using equations (If you are unable to explain without using equations, then there is no point replying really is there, because if you don't understand what you saying, how will I? ) This is my thread, so I believe I have the right to politely request this Thanks
  5. I think our consciousness is just a very complex and elaborate part of our human body, just like the digestive system and nervous system Our brain seems very complex but relatively, in the scope of the universe, it is insignificant All the knowledge we learn throughout childhood and adulthood, whether maths, languages, history or knitting is learned behaviour and we just repeat what we have learned This process of knowledge being passed on to each successive generation is how humans have evolved for the past 10,000 years or so It is just that now our technology is advancing at a faster rate, but we are not We are not as intelligent as we think we are If a modern human was born on a desert island and raised there with no knowledge of the rest of world, then they were rescued later in life, they would have no education, no knowledge and have no idea how to even operate a kettle, unless shown how to and so learned Everything is learned and so is consciousness Consciousness involves thought and morals/ethics and interests and desires/dislikes, it is basically the brain, the mind The reason so many humans have a similar consciousness is because we are weak minded, like sheep If you don't think we are like sheep then just look at the state of the world, politically and economically, then ask yourself "if we are not sheep, why do accept the way things are?"
  6. Westboro Baptists might be backward thinking religious nutjobs, but at least they don't go around murdering people for kicks, unlike the soldiers whose funerals they protest at One of the great enigmas of the "human being" is why being an angry deluded religious freak is somehow worse crime than the cold blooded mass murder carried out by the "good ole soldier boys" And people say humanity is civilized......yeah right, keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep better at night after you had your weekly fist fight or smacked your wife or abused your kids or whatever it is you do as part of society
  7. We have become WORSE than our primate ancestors. At least back then they had ignorance to blame for their evil and vicious nature Now with our improved intelligence and knowledge, we still act like primitive animals Look at all the wars, crime, poverty and social injustice that exists throughout the world We have no improved one bit and will never improve, because human beings are inherently evil with no compassion for their fellow human being, other animals and life or for the planet in general 99.99999% of humans care only about themselves, just look at the predominant political system that exists globally right now
  8. How can the Universe be Infinite? It was never smaller than a proton. It never expanded. It is not expanding. Suppose for a moment those 3 statements are actually correct. Now it is easier to imagine an infinite universe Surely in the world of Science, the first thing any SCIENTIST should do is accept the possibility that some theories maybe proven incorrect at a future date This happens throughout history of science correct? Do not all the great scientists themselves say that there is the possibility of even their own theories being incorrect? Theory is not Law.
  9. Hey OP ignore the mindless trolls doing their usual shitting over any post that does not say "I love Einstein and Hawking and want to inappropriate language deleted" I think it was a really interesting read I did not understand a lot of it, but the main thing was IT WAS INTERESTING, which is rare on this troll infested forum
  10. The old classic Abortion debate eh? I have a question If some people believe a mother has the right to murder her child whilst in is still the womb, does the child also have the same right to murder its mother? Since when did MURDER become a question of rights? If some trailer trash slut does not want her baby, or some career driven spawn of satan does not have time for a baby, why do they have the right to murder all of a sudden Could a mother murder the baby after it is born? Maybe if it was born with three legs or two heads, they could murder it and say "oh it was the humane thing to do?" I always thought that society had a kind of unwritten rule of CHILD > WOMAN > MAN, so surely the right of the child comes before the right of the mother? The only time a baby shoulld be aborted is if the life of the mother is at risk AND there is no way to save the baby, but by killing the unborn baby you can save the mother Women who think they have the RIGHT to MURDER are sick
  11. Wars have happened since prehistoric times and will continue to do so for hundreds of years into the future AT LEAST Reason is because humans are EVIL, plain and simple, they do not care for their fellow man, not TRULY care, there is no compassion The only reason some humans SEEM to show compassion and empathy to others is because they are weaker than the rest of the evil people who surround them One of the first things that needs to happen for wars to stop is for families to stop being proud of their children WANTING to join the army and go and fight and kill strangers on the other side of the world for NO REASON WHATSOEVER. It actually makes me sick when I see soldier funerals on TV and all the families and randoms turning up for funerals and parades If the men were not evil in the first place and decided NOT to join the army for the purpose of murdering random strangers from across the globe, then they would not have been killed by those strangers in the first place and they would instead be alive and at home with their families. There are many sicknesses in this world, but two of the main ones are patriotism and capitalism. And it is not the governments of the world, or the rich and wealthy, that are to blame for all the war, corruption and evil, it is SOCIETY itself Every person in government whether it be US, Equatorial Guinea, Paraguay or Malaysia came from the society of that country. If you have a sick and twisted society, you will get a sick and twisted government. Now out of all the countries in the world, how many are sick, twisted and corrupt? Almost ALL of them Future is bleak for mankind, wars will continue and only get worse Because human beings are a plague on this planet
  12. man created god in the stone age I am not a caveman if someone reading this DOES believe in "god", explain EXACTLY what you think this "god" entity is what is he made of? how old is he? did he create just us and earth? or did he create the whole universe? what is a soul? why do only humans get to have a soul? why not animals? who not bacteria? why not rocks? why are we so special, or should I say ARROGANT? who created god? is god good/evil? who is the devil? where is heaven and where is hell? how do we travel there after death? what mode of transport do we take? is every single human who has ever lived and now dead in either heaven or hell? are there ANY other animals in heaven or hell aside from humans? do aliens go to heaven or hell or are they classed as animals? if we go to heaven/hell after we die, do we also come from heaven/hell before we are born? how many heavens and hells are there? is there just one of each or is there on for each of the thousands of different religions from throughout history from prehistoric times to present day? did there used to be more than one god and now there is just one? if i punched god in the face would i go to hell and if i punched the devil would i go to heaven?
  13. I believe the universe is infinite and I think the big bang theory is religious hogwash. It is really pathetic that human beings are so arrogant that they think they can explain EVERYTHING and that EVERYTHING must have a beginning, middle and end and that EVERYTHING can be explained by us. There was no beginning to the universe and there will be no end to the universe. The universe is not expanding or shrinking or dancing, it is just existing, just as it has done for eternity. We are just insignificant bundles of energy God, heaven, hell, angels, demons and ghosts = caveman talk
  14. What if we cannot see the aliens, so we have no idea what they look like. They might be made of a form of energy that we do not even know exists. What if there are space faring alien civilizations travelling back n forth through our solar system, yet they are unaware of our existence, and we are unaware of their existence. We only "see" what we have evolved to "see". Just as it was human arrogance that made people believe we we the centre of the universe not so long ago relatively, I think it is just as arrogant today to believe that we mere humans are aware of everything that exists in the entire universe. Its actually worse now because at least back then they had an excuse of religious brainwashing I think that if we have ever been visited by aliens in the past, or will ever be in the future, then they are much more likely to "appear" from very close by rather than them travelling for thousands of years across the cosmos.
  15. Scientists are arrogant and narrow minded and can only see inside the box Philosophers are easy going and open minded and can imagine the box does not even exist
