I did think of using a torx screw instead, but I was wondering if sticking a ball of steel/plastic would be a good alternative.
I guess I'll forget about this, and try to find secure screws with the same diameter.
Thank you.

Thanks for the infos.
I haven't purchased the parts yet: Could I use eg. a ball made of plastic, and use some tougher glue so it'll be harder to remove without a solvent?

Hello
To avoid getting my bike saddle stollen, I had the idea of gluing a small ball of steel, in addition to securing the saddle post through a secure screw:
But for when I need to remove the saddle, is there a way to "liquefy" the glue, through either a solvent or heat so I can remove the ball?
Thank you.

I did wonder what your interest was in this topic. Was this for an essay or just passing through?
I explained my goal in the top message:
As a city kid, I have zero knowledge about agriculture. To learn a bit about this, I will spend a few days on a farm at the end of the month to talk with farmers who went from "conventional" agriculture to organic.0 -
Soon, unless you believe that oil and phosphate rock magically appears from the ground, we will not be able to grow using industrial agricultural techniques anyways.
That seems a good enough reason to look for alternative ways for fertilizers and pesticides.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. That should provide me with enough questions for a week-end to ask those farmers who turned to organic

Hello
As a city kid, I have zero knowledge about agriculture. To learn a bit about this, I will spend a few days on a farm at the end of the month to talk with farmers who went from "conventional" agriculture to organic.
In the meantime, I'm reading a bunch of books about agriculture, both conventional and organic, but am having a hard time finding sound, non-biased, scientific information about...
1. what problems organic agriculture is supposed to solve (too much, too strong pesticides/fertilizer? lower nutrition in food?)
2. whether these solutions really work, and if they have any drawbacks
For instance, some organic farmers refer to BS like homeopathy or biodynamics
Can you recommend good books and online articles that I should read before I go?
Thank you.
