I've just gotten a microscope and adapter to a DSLR to play around, but somehow the pictures come out with a bright light in the middle. When I look through the eyepiece without the camera, that doesn't happen. I heard that it might be because the inside of the adapter is too reflective, so I tried putting a black cardboard paper on the sides of the adapter, but it didn't help. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it? Thanks!

We all know we day dream ourselves to sleep at night visualizing scenes. For example, if you drive all day, at night, you will still see road ahead.

 

I find the same thing happens with cards. In my case, if I play ten games of Freecell in the afternoon, it will take seven hours before I can go to bed that night, close my eyes, and not see the game in front of me;

 

I can even play the game---somewhat. It is not vivid enough to be sure of any single card and when I am looking for the best place to put it, it is apt to change so that when I put it down, it no longer goes there! Rather than fight that, I stop playing Freecell seven hours before bedtime.

 

Anyone else have "mind's eye" experiences?

I suppose you concentrate a lot when you do things? Like if you are in the middle of something and someone calls you, you would jump? I think that's when things stick to your mind.

Sometimes when people tell me about some stories or situation, I would visualize the scene and almost see it. Is that what you're talking about?

Intellectuals would look at this random thing and have this serious desire to figure out what it is, so that they can keep their pride and self image that they are smart and can solve problems. What they don't know is that by doing this, they are creating themselves a big problem and wasting a lot of time. Geniuses know what to spend time on and what not, and would just throw this away, thus preventing the problem that the trouble maker was trying to create by sliding in a picture that's clearly taken out of context and blurred to confuse people.

Scientists found that waves can break apart coral embryos, and the fragments that result from it will form individual corals. So cool!

I don't think it was a hoax, unless some evidence to the contrary comes forward. You have to remember just how complex the experiments are and just how many people contribute. It must be a very difficult process of just working together. Because of this I am not surprised that rather mundane issues could be the course of the superluminal measurement.

It isn't a hoax, but the scientists have found errors in the instrument that may have led to the results. So it's very likely that they didn't find it after all.
