  1. Read over your previous posts (in this and other threads) and reflect on the words I have highlighted in red. You may want to consider dismounting the high horse

  3. If my parents were fictional, how could I exist for them to tell me anything? Give up dude
  4. Evolution has given us a predisposition for false positives (as often a false negative could kill and eat you) We are essentially pattern recognition machines, we should not be surprised that people believe all sorts of crap
  5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_relativity
  6. What are you trying to say? What message? You've already said that the church is wrong, why do have so much faith in a bronze age book written by goat herders? Maybe that's wrong too? It's been translated and re-written thousands of times (by the church usually). Who's to say they got it right? Who's to say thay didn't modify bits here and there to suit their agenda at the time?
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/marmalade I've saved us all!
  8. I am certainly not intending to "stir anyone up", I simply expressed my concerns
  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messiah_complex I am merely pointing out that people with extreme veiws can be capable of terrible things. I am not aware of any atheist terrorists or cult leaders
  10. If he believes what he is saying then he is potentially a very disturbed individual and certainly not someone I would be happy to live within walking distance of. There are plenty of people who believe in telepathy and psychics and all sorts of nonsense but they are mostly harmless fantasists, but People like Dovada are able to justify any action, however terrible, by attributing it to "gods will". I would certainly recomend some form of help for the guy
  11. So whats the point of them? Where do you find it? It sounds to me that you're just making stuff up You're basically saying that everyone else is wrong and you are the only person who knows the truth about god Do you realise how crazy that makes you sound?
  12. No, they were looking for a way to manipulate and control "dumb prople" and they seem to have done a very good job
  13. It's all well and good experimenting but it is more important to properly understand and interpret the results of your experiments. The chances are if your results say you've produced "man-made-gravity" you've misunderstood something...
  14. Oh right. So you're saying that you just know. Who's to say I don't "just know"
  15. Wthout religion how many terrorists would there be? Ok, so who taught you? What makes you think that you're not being led by the blind?
  16. And yet, you're suggesting "god did it" is a viable explanation Maybe you haven't thought enough
  17. This is rubbish http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle Your "explanation" is crap
  18. Can you prove this? I may well percieve the sky to be red, but since I have been taught from an early age that the name of that colour is blue I will call it blue If you show me what you percieve to be blue, I will also call it blue It doesn't mean we see the same thing
  19. I think that you are the one calling it miraculous! You've given it no explanation other than that Do you not understand evolution? Science does not rely on miracles pal. It's about getting to the true explanations rather than the feeble cop out that is "god did it"
