I am looking for information on piezoresistivity. I need a fluid whose resistivity changes with pressure. I tried looking it up on Wikipedia but it wasn't very helpful.

I think that the idea of more than three spacial dimensions is possible, however this does not mean that there could not also be other dimensions on the same scale as our three spacial dimensions. There is nothing that disproves their existance. Of course there is also nothing that proves their existance either.

I threw some numbers around but I think there is information that wasn't given in order to solve this problem. Were there any other instructions included with this project that might have some missing info.

There has to be some mechanism that would allow for it since the singularity, or whatever it was, before the big bang "banged".

When I was in college the friends of mine that were majoring in comp sci had to take calculus and linear algebra. The classes were just so you knew how to work with vectors and matrices.

My personal opinion, although there is no way to confirm this is that the universe goes through cycles. I have based this on the idea that a black hole could take in so much matter that eventually it explodes. There is no scientific proof to back this up. I got the idea while reading "A Brief History of Time" by Hawking, I think. The point is that what ever it was I was reading made referrence to a model for the big bang being a black hole in reverse. So I think that the big bang could be just that. Its just an idea though and there is no way to confirm or deny it.

From what I have read it seems that there are these "strings" which make up all matter. They are the newest smallest constituents of matter. These theoretical strings like real strings have properties such as modes etc. each different set of conditions in a string is a different particle in a different state. Atleast thats how I have understood it. I have read "The Elegant Universe" but not "The Fabric of the Cosmos" and I have a textbook called "A First Course in String Theory" but I haven't had a chance tolook at it.

You would need to determine that. You could choose different currents and see what effect they have on the results, or you could get a value for the force or torque and use that to determine the current. Your third choice is to plug in values for what you know and look at the relation between torque and current for this specific example. Any way you do it, you need more information to get an actual answer.

I have been trying to find a good in depth explanation of the math behind random walks ever since it was mentioned in a Quantum Mechanics class I took. If anyone can enlighten me that would be great.

I magnetized an axle from an old computer printer with copper wire I'm not sure what it was made of though. You could try it though and see what happens. When I did it I took a power transformer for an electric keyboard, exposed the wires and attached them to the wire. I didn't count how many times I wrapped the wire around and I didn't measure How many Tesla it was. I just did it then I used a small compass to confirm that it worked. What are you trying to do with it? Maybe someone has another suggestion, in case the part can't be magnetized.

Ithink they would adapt to it. Birds could fly with any direction being up but fish I'm not sure about. If they are in a tank full of water that is sealed then they could just swim around. The bladders they use to sink and rise wouldn't work though.

I've always looked everything as being different forms of energy. I haven't been able to do it but if you could define anything as an energy distribution than you could, in my opinion atleast, bring it all together. The problem I have is that although this seems like an easy way to unify everything it doesn't seem to be very applicable.

you need to look at section of a limb as an object which hasa center of mass in the middle somewhere and which experiences torques at points of impacts and at joints, an example would be that an arm has a center of mass and something hits the attached hand. There are torques on the arm, one where the hand is struck and one where the arm is attached to the rest of the body.

It isn't possible to write an equation for the solar sytem that takes the other bodies into account, atleast from what I've heard. Its a classic three body problem. If you place three objects in the fields of the others you can only figure out what is happening to one by treating everything else as a single object. In this case you would use the center of mass to figure out the reaction of a single body. This sounds like something that could be done with each body, but this doesn't take into full account the forces between each of them. It gives a good approximation but it isn't exact.

It depends on the temperature and the condition. If there is a sudden change in temperature sometimes materials can't handle the sudden change. I saw a show on TLC once about emergency rooms where a lady placed a hot pan directly on a glass table. She came into the ER because when she set it down the sudden change in temperature caused the glass to shatter, and thinking quickly the lady caught the pan under the table (without hot pads). I know it seems like the opposite idea but If the room or table was the right temperature it could have caused rapid cooling in the pan. The pan probably just couldn't handle the stress.

All you need to know is that energy is conserved but it can be changed from one form to another. A photon is just one form that that energy can take. When light from the sun strikes something the light of the wavelength which matches the color of the object is reflected and the rest is absorbed where it is changed to other forms of energy. It could be heat, other EM waves, or electricity, etc. This is a simple conservation of energy question. As far as the box of light goes it sounds to me that you want a blackbody.
