  1. What kind of age are you? Or what level of science are you looking at?

And if you say like basic' date=' then how basic is basic... and if you say medium what exactly does that mean?!?[/quote']

    im 14...year 9 science....advanced basic...i wud reckon...btw i have to do a presentation on this..just thought i shud say that

  2. Is this for some project? Saying so might get the "we don't do your homework" response, but at least we could be more specific and help you. Tell us what you have and we can correct it, give you links and help etc.

umm...yep it is for a school project...but thats what i thought this forum was for....im searchin myself ofcourse...but any links that i havent looked over and any of you guys come across it, then you can post it..

well..this project is researching on a technology that uses science principle i.e sound,light,etc..

I've chosen to do MP3 players...and now im searching for info on how the principles are used and made in the players...

  3. The same as any other speaker or headphone... if you take apart a speaker it's easy to see what is happening. There's a magnet and an electromagnet' date=' when both of these are turned on they repel and the magnet is pushed up, when the electromagnet it off then the magnet is pulled back down. Now we have an up/down motion. This is how sound works, something moves and makes sound waves.

The electromagnet is turned on and off really quickly for different lengths of time, at different frequencies and different power to make all the different sounds you hear.

All the MP3 does is make the electromagnet turn on and off in a specific way that makes sound!

I assume the ipod uses a standard backing light thingy which is basically a special piece of paper which when light is passed through it it lights up.[/quote']

thanks for that...but any other ppl who hav more info plz post...thanks
