  1. I take it there are a few around here. This question concerns batteries. It includes aspects of both chemistry and metallurgy. Of course you know about the function of lead-acid batteries. But what if depleted uranium was used instead of lead. After all, from what I hear, uranium will eventually (after a very long time) will decay into lead. A uranium atom has 92 electrons compared to a lead atom having 82. Wouldn't uranium make for a better anode - cathode medium than lead? And would such a thing require a stronger acid?
