  1. Well ok, an electron + positron = gamma ray, right? (and electrons are attracted to positrons by magnetic attraction) So cant this be done the other way around? I mean there are easier ways to get positrons, I know...
  2. yeah, actually wolf, there's fish oil in fish, which is well known for being high in essential fatty acids, i.e. DHA, that supposedly help with something against alzheimer's disease or something... but I doubt its very effective.
  3. I think everybody should watch this before any further discussion. (just kidding) Lol iNow, I'm sure you would have called it much worse than a 'blatant generalization' if not for that wellbutrin thing earlier .
  4. It's all sisyphu's fault . It was supposed to be an interesting problem. nah, way too easy problem.
  5. have you noticed, many times the smoothest (as in play it smooth) or more attractive people are the ones who are most popular? and gay people are not very manly by definition, and they're not men who are good with girls or play it smooth.
  6. I've tried sodium iodide, it works, but it's a far second to MnO2. Just saw open a small battery (preferably new, AA is great) it will contain zinc, MnO2, and some slippery KOH will spew out (I suggest you wear gloves)... There will be slippery silver zinc in the center covered with little plastic layers and some black stuff outside of it. This is MnO2. Maybe a little Mn2O3. Good enough, violent bubbling in H2O2. (1 liter 3% H2O2 solution (~50 moles) has 1.5 moles H2O2, or .75 moles O2 (30 milliliters gas)) I don't think it's dangerous, although the first time I did it, I worried that the battery would blow up or something. Yet, the reaction is fairly weak, I took about 10 AA batteries worth of zinc and MnO2, and mixed them in a can, they heated up a little bit, but no sparks or flashes or anything. If you have some liquid nitrogen lying around, please don't get the idea to , it's dangerous!

    good passwords

i like that one, the tree... you often hear military guys talking over radio coordinates or something...alpha tango bravo charlie... atbc... stuff like that
  8. By the way... i wonder If you have a very strong electromagnetic field... and you pass a beam of light or gamma rays through it, can you split up the photons into matter and antimatter? That would be a good example of making atoms out of energy.

    is your password 'skeptic' ?
  10. wait a sec... i thought nucear bombs took energy due to the higher stability and nuclear binding force of products than the starting material (i.e. hydrogen > helium, uranium > thalium, lead, etc.) Not because there is any change in mass (at least not before talking about the sub-neutron levels) Antimatter, on the other hand, that I know releases energy destroying mass...
  11. Well, no I meant like if you say What is chemistry? Study of chemical interactions, etc. etc. What is physics? Study of forces, matter, etc. etc. etc. What is english? Study of the language english. Math? Study of something- patterns? Who knows?

    good passwords

thanks, great ideas, although if you think I'm using the chemical one, you're dreaming... not that much of a nerd thequickbrownfox is a good one especially with some letters capital, because my left pinky can press SHIFT (usually it gets left out because there are no letters to press with it, so it feels kind of weird just hanging in the air... In any case I've decided on a new password. It is written somewhere on this page. And right now I'm only using Wells Fargo, why do you ask? What are those, btw, John?
  13. yeah, lol, its really the only common NDRI antidepressant... easy mistake to make if it was a bit stronger i'm sure it would be grouped with the stimulants- has the typical phenethylamine structure (this one's a ketone like cathinone) and of course the reason they're mostly all phenethylamines is that dopamine and adrenaline are phenethylamines almost shot my head off after reading that post though they should inject dopamine and endorphins right into brain, the pleasure center of the brain - that would be the thing
  14. forget this post i started talking off topic

    good passwords

yeah guess so:-p ... seriously can't think of a decent password well how about a less stupid question then: Which is better? Zombies...or hookers? Hmm Zombies...hookers Zombies...hookers Now you don't have to choose Adult Swim Games brings you Zombie Hooker Nightmare You're a hooker Fighting a variety of zombies With a variety of weapons Turning tricks with a variety of... Well the johns are all pretty much the same Play Zombie Hooker Nightmare On AdultSwim.com You're gonna give it As good as you get it. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedSorry, just felt like writing out a random commercial... Actually I kind of like the commercial, see it here: The game? Well honestly adult swim games are not very good.

    good passwords

I had to abandon my password recently for an account of mine after realizing too many people know it Anyone know any good passwords? just post whatever passwords you use and I'll pick the best one The reason I can't find a good one is because I like them to be comfortable to write quickly, having a similar amount of letters from each side of the keyboard, etc, etc, etc.
  17. Interestingly almost any other subject/science is remarkably easier to explain its use...i.e. chemistry, physics, english, etc.
  18. maybe something that will spread to millions of people and only affects them after like 15 years, then? but then if you're in a war that would not be very useful, would it now?
  19. yeah its useless i know... you're not breaking my bubble lakmilis, i know my iq isn't 140... ok not a very good link then, i did it a long time ago and i liked it so i just posted it... although which questions required more than elementary knowledge, skeptic? And yeah if you redo the test, you can just quickly pick the answers you figured out last time! Interestingly I redid it and got the same score 159
  20. you're so skeptical, mr skeptic... yeah in practice right now antimatter isn't very good... but technology will develop... antimatter was only seriously proposed like what, 15 years ago? actually I think antimatter batteries are an even better idea than bombs, because I think size and weight matter even more for them (plus I don't think antimatter or nuclear bombs will be used anytime soon). Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedi just realized 'pseudoscience forums', my name looks orange as if im an admin... april fools!
  21. Lol yeah, i like that one... ACtually instead of a millimeter, I suppose it has to be half a pound by Grant's calculations. It's not completely impossible, antimatter has been made. But its like trying to make an intel chip a millimeter wide- it will get there but not anytime soon
  22. i think you have to have a vaccuum and an electromagnetic field... right now they store them in an electromagnetic 'penning trap'. Of course, this requires a lot of electricity, which can be supplied by an external battery... or maybe the antimatter itself can slowly drain to create electric potential to keep the electromagnetic field active... dont know if this is possible, or if by definition would require more energy than the antimatter provides... But i think antimatter bombs and batteries could be created someday... an easier way to store antimatter would defiinitely be quite an advancement. what I envision a millimeter of antimatter will do. But it will be less pretty because of no fallout......
  23. No! Bupropion (Zyban, Wellbutrin) is one of the few antidepressants that is not an SSRI! It's an NDRI (norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor) like Ritalin, although weaker. "is an atypical antidepressant that acts as a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor, and nicotinic antagonist" Negligeble action on serotonin. Significant action on NE and DA... I don't know if you trust wikipedia but here... In fact here's some data on its pharmacology...its metabolites are also active and have similar profiles (scroll down in the wikipedia link i gave) Bupropion Inhibition potency (potency of DA uptake inhibition by bupropion = 100%) DA uptake 100% NE uptake 27% Ser uptake 2% α3β4 nicotinic 53% α4β2 nicotinic 8% α1* nicotinic 12%
