I have seen a number of Tetrahydroquinoline derivatives turning dark green from pale yellow after synthesis, as dry powders and in solvent.
What it looks like on TLC:
The dark green substance seems to be very polar and barely migrated.
What's more, the spots in the middle of the TLC plate also turned dark green overnight.
Did any possible spontaneous reaction happened to those compounds?
