So I'm having trouble with one of my questions for my hydrology assignment and I would appreciate it a lot if one of you could help me.
Consider an aquifer contaminated with an aqueous phase and a sorbed phase. The organic carbon content (foc ) is 0.0025, the porosity is 40%, bulk density is 1.4 g/cm 3 , and log Koc is 2.2. For a unit volume of aquifer, calculate the percentage of mass in the solution (aqueous) phase and the percentage of the mass in the sorbed phase.
How would i go about calculating the mass in the solution of the aqueous phase.
I found the Kd by doing Koc=Kd/foc
