About Me

My name is Ilya Gromov (Ilya is the Slavonic for Elijah), I'm from Moscow, Russia, and I'm a teacher of foreign languages (English, French) and Russian as a foreign language. I'm also an Esperanto speaker, so I'll be extremely pleased to meet my fellow Esperanto speakers or just share my knowledge of this beautiful language.

Apart from my job (which is teaching English at Russian State Oil and Gas University) I'm fond of linguistics, travelling, creative writing (have published a few poems in Russian), translating poetry and prose into Russian, and I'm also a great fan of history of whatever exists. As a scientist I'm mostly interested in theory of education and methods of teaching foreign languages.

I'm looking forward to getting acquainted with everyone, it's a pleasure to join you!
