What are the Recent Trends in Psychology?

I have checked some Psychology books but i don't see this topic anywhere except in one book that i don't trust much.. Have seen questions regarding it in past papers. So I need to know about it.

Questions in Past Paper:

Q - Comment on recent trends in Psychology as viewed by Behaviorists.

Q - Comment on Recent Trends in Psychology, duly supported by factual data.

This is what I found in one book about Trends: Electic Psychology, Psychology of Cyberspace, Energy Psychology, Scientology, Critical Psychology, Kinesiology...

I highly doubt that's the answer.. so help me out in here.. thanks

I am a psychiatric Nurse who keeps abreast of the research. On of the trends is to look at the adaptive function of the various disorders, and not see them as disorders so much as being specialized in certain areas at the expense in others.

The second major trend is to look at disorders in terms of brain function, rather than symptoms, ie. atypical depression is based on dopamine, not seratonin like other depression diagnosis are.

Third is realizing the genetic links are not simple one or two gene causes, but multi gene causes.

If these topics are of interest, I can provide some links to look at.
