If so, by how much?

Does anybody know or have some rough estimates from reliable organisations?

Just interested in the ratio between men and women globally? Is it 50:50?

Globally there are slighly more males than females (102 males per 100 females):

The source is the UN population prospects report (2008). You can get all the UN population stats here: http://www.un.org/esa/population/
