  1. I think it depends on the circumstances. If someone is paralyzed in all four limbs, I say they have every right to commit suicide. But if they have treatable depression? No.
  2. Sexuality seems to me very primal yet complex. What if no one ever told us about sex? How would the effects of our sex hormones manifest, would we still have a sex drive or just the urge to masturbate? Would we still have the urge to do it if we didn't know that it existed? Would we instinctively know what to do the way animals do?
  3. Taken from wikipedia: 'Because of various expression of α₁or β₂receptors, depending on the patient, administration of adrenaline may raise or lower blood pressure, depending whether or not the net increase or decrease in peripheral resistance can balance the positive inotropic and chronotropic effects of adrenaline on the heart, effects which respectively increase the contractility and rate of the heart' No citation, so it could be pure poop. Can't find anything else about it on the net. How would that work? How common is it to have low blood pressure as response to adrenaline?
  4. Thanks for answering. I didn't realize the concentration played a role.
  5. As I understand it, these things combine with the targeted mRNA then degrade, so that the RNA is not available for translation. My question is what is to stop more RNA from taking its place? I don't know much about the subject, sorry...I learnt about it as part of an interdisciplinary module.
