I would suggest, not knowing your background, that you get hold a a physics A-level book. These are aimed at 16-18 year olds. The UK A-level course contains some basic information about quantum physics, but not any details like the Schrödinger equation and so on. For that you will need a more advanced textbook. There are loads and what you like may well depend on your tastes.

I also need some psychology books.

If you want psychology with a strong footing in neuroscience then Biopsychology by JJ Pinel is great and very accessible to a beginner, like me, but really geared to a degree. Not cheap though.

 

On the Quantum Physics side QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter by Richard Feynman is a a good read and cheap as a paperback.
