Posting a table

Recommended Posts

Thank you Acme I see them, can someone tell my how to post a 2 column x 6 row table and how to enter the data?

You're welcome. :) I'll try a little experimenting here if it's OK and maybe we can get it fingered out. Will start by posting the examples given and see what that gets us.

This:

[ta=left]
[tr]
[td]Hi[/td][td]there[/td]
[/tr]
[/ta]
Gives this:

Hithere

This:

 [ta=left][tr][td]Hi[/td][td]there[/td] [/tr]
[tr][td]Hi[/td][td]there[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]Hi[/td][td]there[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]Hi[/td][td]there[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]Hi[/td][td]there[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]Hi[/td][td]there[/td][/tr][/ta]
Gives this:

Hi there

Hithere

[tr][td]1000[/td][td]1.00100[/td][/tr][/ta]

Well thanks for trying anyway.

I haven't tried figuring out the Table Heading code, but here is what I get substituting your data. :)

[ta=left][tr][td]n/(n-1)[/td][td]-[/td] [/tr]
[tr][td]2[/td][td]2.0[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]5[/td][td]1.25[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]10[/td][td]1.11111[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]100[/td][td]1.01010[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]1000[/td][td]1.00100[/td][/tr][/ta]
n/(n-1) -

22.0

51.25

101.11111

1001.01010

10001.00100

Odd. Copying and pasting your post gives me:

n/(n-1) -

22.0

51.25

101.11111

1001.01010

10001.00100

Perhaps you need to flick the toggle switch upper-left of the edit box before you paste?

Latex?

I suppose you could use matrices:

[math]\begin{matrix} \alpha & \beta & \gamma & \delta\\ \epsilon & \zeta & \eta & \theta\\ \iota & \kappa & \lambda & \mu\\ \nu & \xi & \pi & \rho \end{matrix}[/math]

You can use Snipping Tool in W7, or other third-party app, after opening the doc and save it as an image file. You could use PRT SCN as well, paste it into an image editor then crop it. Click or right-click on the image to save it if you want to use this.

Thank you , SJ, That is what I usually do.

But someone told me that this is the 21st century, and I naively thought that computers might have advanced at least to the stage of pencil and paper so I really ought to be able to type it straight in by now.

Oh well, back to the chalk and slate.

After some testing...

Use this: http://www.teamopolis.com/tools/bbcode-table-generator.aspx

to generate your table.

Change the 'table' tag to: ta='ditto'.

Paste the code into your search bar, copy it from your search bar.

Remove all unnecessary spaces. Paste here.
