Some people seem to think that the job of science is to find "truth" or how the universe "really" is. But those things are inaccessible and are the subject of philosophy, not science. Asking that science should tell us "absolutes" is equally hopeless. There are few absolutes in science, and certainly not when it comes to relative motion.
